Why does a Pandora link open in the browser?
A Pandora link opened from a messaging app usually shows up in the phone’s browser. For an audience that already has the app, that is one step too many. Qlynk recognizes pandora.com/artist, /station and /podcast addresses, and prepares the opening in the app. Note that Pandora mainly targets the US market, and Qlynk cannot confirm its availability in every country.
How to do it with Qlynk
- Copy the address of the artist, station or podcast from Pandora.
- Paste it into Qlynk. With Pro, you can choose the end of the link.
- Share the short link, preferably with an audience for whom Pandora is available.
On iPhone, Qlynk sends the original Pandora address: iOS opens the app if it’s installed, with no error message. On Android, the link opens the app, or the web page if the app isn’t installed. On a computer, the page opens as usual.
When is it useful?
- Sharing a Pandora station with an audience in the United States
- Promoting an episode of a podcast hosted on Pandora
- Promoting an artist to contacts in the United States
- Generating a QR code for an event aimed at a US audience
Which Pandora links open the app?
| Link type | Example address |
|---|---|
| Artist | https://www.pandora.com/artist/artist-name |
| Station | https://www.pandora.com/station/123456789 |
| Podcast | https://www.pandora.com/podcast/podcast-name |
Paste any of these addresses into Qlynk: the short link you get will open Pandora on phones.
