Unshorten URL: See Where a Short Link Really Goes
Paste a short link. Qlynk follows the redirects for you and shows each step up to the final destination, without you having to open it. It also flags simple warning signs, like an unencrypted destination or a domain different from the one announced.
Frequently asked questions
How does Qlynk check a link?
The server follows the redirects one by one, without displaying the page. It identifies itself as “QlynkLinkChecker”, only follows http and https addresses, stops after 6 redirects and refuses internal or private addresses. The site you check therefore sees Qlynk's request, not your IP address.
Does Qlynk keep the links I paste?
No. The link and the result aren't saved. Only a usage counter, tied to an unreadable fingerprint of your IP address, limits checks to 20 per hour. It's deleted automatically.
Is a link with no warning safe?
Not necessarily. The tool spots simple signs (unencrypted destination, raw IP address, many hops, change of domain). It doesn't analyze the site's content. If the link asks for a password or a payment, check the sender another way.
Why is my link refused?
Because it points to an address that isn't public (private network, local computer), uses an unusual port, isn't http or https, or the site doesn't answer within 3 seconds.
