Why does a Tidal link open in the browser?
Tidal addresses circulate in several forms (tidal.com, listen.tidal.com, with or without /browse/), which does not help with recognizing them. Opened from a messaging app, they often end up in the browser’s web player, where listening requires logging in again. Qlynk spots these variants and prepares the opening in the Tidal app.
How to do it with Qlynk
- In Tidal, copy the address of the track, album, playlist or artist.
- Paste it into Qlynk. With Pro, you can choose the end of the link.
- Share the short link: the app opens on the right content when it is installed.
On iPhone, Qlynk sends the original Tidal address: iOS opens the app if it’s installed, with no error message. On Android, the link opens the app, or the web page if the app isn’t installed. On a computer, the page opens as usual.
When is it useful?
- Sharing an album release with fans, in a bio or a story
- Sending a customer the background playlist of your salon or shop
- Putting a QR code on a cover or a concert poster
- Adding one specific track to a musician’s email signature
