Viber link: open it directly in the Viber app

Qlynk recognizes viber.com and invite.viber.com addresses and prepares them to open in the Viber app. On iPhone, the installed app takes the original address; on Android, Qlynk builds an app-opening link with a fallback to the web page.

Why does a Viber link open in the browser?

Viber invitations to a group or a community use an invite.viber.com address that, in a mobile browser, often leads to an intermediate page rather than to the app. Qlynk accepts viber.com addresses and its invitation subdomain, and prepares the app to open directly.

How to do it with Qlynk

  1. Copy the invitation link from Viber.
  2. Paste it into Qlynk. With Pro, choose the end of the link.
  3. Share the short link: the Viber app opens when it is installed.

On iPhone, Qlynk sends the original Viber address: iOS opens the app if it’s installed, with no error message. On Android, the link opens the app, or the web page if the app isn’t installed. On a computer, the page opens as usual.

When is it useful?

  • Inviting your customers to join a Viber community
  • Showing a QR code to join in a shop
  • Putting your Viber link in the bio of another network
  • Counting how many people click your group invitation
