Why does a Calendly link open in the browser?
A Calendly link usually sits at the bottom of an email or a signature. Opened from a phone, it loads a web booking page, while the calendar owner prefers the app. For a freelancer, a clear link is the last obstacle before the appointment: if it is long or badly copied, the client gives up.
How to do it with Qlynk
- Copy the address of your Calendly page.
- Paste it into Qlynk. With Pro, choose the end of the link, such as “book”.
- Use the short link in your emails and printed material: on a phone, it opens Calendly.
On iPhone, Qlynk sends the original Calendly address: iOS opens the app if it’s installed, with no error message. On Android, the link opens the app, or the web page if the app isn’t installed. On a computer, the page opens as usual.
When is it useful?
- Adding a “Book a meeting” button to your email signature
- Showing a booking QR code on a business card
- Sending a readable link by text after a first contact
- Measuring clicks to your calendar by campaign
Which Calendly links open the app?
| Link type | Example address |
|---|---|
| Booking page | https://calendly.com/yourusername |
| Event type | https://calendly.com/yourusername/30min |
Paste any of these addresses into Qlynk: the short link you get will open Calendly on phones.
