QlynkWhy does a Deezer link open in the browser?
A Deezer link placed in an email or a message often opens in the browser, with a web player that asks the listener to log in. Someone who has the app at hand has to launch it and search for the song themselves. For an artist or an event organizer, that is a pointless detour.
How to do it with Qlynk
- In Deezer, copy the share link of the track, album or playlist.
- Paste it into Qlynk. With Pro, you can choose the end of the link.
- Share the short link: on a phone, it opens the Deezer app.
On iPhone, Qlynk sends the original Deezer address: iOS opens the app if it’s installed, with no error message. On Android, the link opens the app, or the web page if the app isn’t installed. On a computer, the page opens as usual.
When is it useful?
- Announcing a new album to your email list
- Sharing the playlist of a restaurant or a gym
- Linking a show from the website of a local media outlet
- Printing a listening QR code on physical music packaging
